$5,000 goal
On Giving Tuesday only, you can make twice the difference for cats in San Antonio. Thanks to a generous donor, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 to fund free spay and neuter surgeries for cats in need, but this match ends at midnight on December 2nd.
These surgeries prevent unwanted litters, reduce shelter overcrowding, and give cats a healthier, safer life. This year alone, we've fixed nearly 5,000 owned and outdoor cats, each one a step toward a more humane community. Your support ensures that families who cannot afford this critical care can still protect their pets and our community.
Every $100 becomes $200, enough to provide two cats with lifesaving surgery instead of one.
This special Giving Tuesday match is made in honor of Maria, a lifelong animal lover whose compassion for cats shaped every stage of her life.
As a young girl growing up in Italy during WWII, Maria found comfort in a white cat named Snow, whose presence brought joy during unimaginably hard times. As an adult, she welcomed many feline companions into her home, including Punkin, a remarkable stray who wandered into her veterinarian’s home and later became a blood donor hero for other cats in need. Punkin quickly became Maria’s “soul cat,” the one who stayed closest to her heart.
Even in her late eighties, Maria’s devotion never wavered. She adopted Cutes, a 20-year-old senior cat, giving her love, dignity, and comfort in the final years of her life.
Maria cared deeply about the countless cats without homes and believed strongly that prevention through spay and neuter is the most compassionate solution. Her family is honoring her legacy by making this $5,000 match possible, ensuring more cats receive the care she believed in so deeply.
Together, we can stop the cycle of overpopulation and suffering. Will you help us reach our $5,000 goal?
